If you surrender yourself to the moods conveyed in Remi Rebillard‘s photographs, you’re in danger of being pulled far under. In the case of his latest work, 13 year old Thylane Blondeau commands a well of emotion far beyond her years, painting herself as a portrait of longing, loneliness, listlessness.

Blondeau’s eyes tell a million stories in a single gaze. The golden tips of her Rapunzel-long hair splay around her face like sun’s rays around a wistful orb that’s lost its lustre for life. Playing a beautiful youth isn’t all that difficult when you are one; and what Blondeau manages to convey under Rebillard’s creative direction is something so much more.A girl with a bright future on her horizon, you can see more of Thylane Blondeau at the gallery.
